I went to the flower shop today and got the surprise of my life. My friends grandpa Mr. Gibbons has passed away and his family was getting flowers for the funeral. My friend alex asked me if I would come to his house after the funeral for a small get together and some food for there grandma birthday. I thought what a shame the poor ladies husband dies on the same day as her birthday. Anyways during the party the grandma was still so upset she said that when her husband was alive he had made her a promise that he would always bring her flowers on every birthday she had as long as she lived. Unfortunately this year the flowers were not coming as he had died from leukemia at 76. About 45 min later as everyone was relaxing and emotionally drained from the funeral and her birthday party the door bell rang. It was a package for Grace Gibbons a widow and one year older. Much to her surprise it was a beautiful arrangement of red roses with a card. The card was from her husband who had just passed away. The card said dear grace I love you and will miss you until we meet in heaven. However I told you for the rest of your life I would deliver flowers to you because I loved you and you were my wife. So happy 76th birthday my love. Then the card said In closing if you should live another 76 years I have prepaid a deliver of roses until you reach 152. I do hope I see you before that but dont worry I am getting things ready for you here in heaven and god knows I miss you. Love always. larry Gibbons your husband!
