I went to work today since it was our quarterly All-Staff Meeting. A meaty presentation by the incomparable and quick-witted Artie Isaac was a great start to the day, with lots of good stuff to chew on, then lunch with cake for Samoas 40th birthday :-) and lots of good hugs from the good people I work with. After lunch was a Cookie Program rally, complete with a cookie hat-making team contest (with hilariously creative results), a discussion of our progress toward GSOHs strategic priorities, and a discussion of better verbal branding. I will share photos later of the hats when I can recharge my phone. I was able to go to work today because of my baby sis, Daphney, who stayed with my lil mommy and Dad while I was away. She was ready to take care of -- and did take care of -- Moms toileting and personal care needs. Because Dads shoulders give him such trouble and pain, Daphs being here was the only way I felt comfortable going to work. What a blessing!! Shes resting right now before her late shift at work.
