I whipped out my computer when I got home this morning at close to 1:00 AM to post about the fantastic results of the competition and discovered that several people had already posted the great news! I want to add, though, that it has been a fantastic season. The forensics team has been like a family and it has been a privilege to watch these kids grow and mature their talents and hone their skills. I am so grateful for my team captains Jared Bagwell and Colter Powers. I will miss them deeply. They took good care of the team, took good care of me and their brothers and sisters. Thank you, Jared and Colter, for sharing high school with me. Thank you Leigh Howell and Clint Whitten for your help and support. One more time, though, if you have not yet heard us screaming in enthusiasm -- Jared Bagwell and Colter Powers placed 1st in the State -- In. The. State. in 3A in Humorous Duo Interpretation!!!!! Hunter Fowler and Nicholas Collins placed 2nd In the State!!! In Serious Duo Interp, and Claire Walker and Victoria Faith Pitchford placed 4th In The State in Humorous Duo Interpretation; Brittany Crowder and Caleb Bradley placed 6th In The State in Serious Duo Interpretation. There are 22 schools in our class who had teams at State Competition, and of those 22, Park View placed 5th!!!! We are 5th place in our class In. The. State.!!!!!! I am so very proud of the entire team. It was a fantastic season!
