I will be able to assist you on the exchange and determine what subsidy level you might qualify for. Please be advised that our office will be able to perform every function that a “Navigator” provides in addition you will know that I will be here in the future to serve you needs when, and should, a disputed claim arises. Most likely the Navigators will be gone after the grant money is gone and you will be left to fend for yourself with the insurance company. In addition, myself and our trained staff are all certified licensed bonded and insured navigators are not. Health insurance is our main line of business and we will be here for you in the future. We will represent all the major carriers on the exchange and can provide you “net quotes” where you will only be required to pay this net amount to the insurance company and have the government pay the insurance company on your behalf if you qualify for a tax subsidy. Coverage through the exchanges begins on Jan. 1, 2014 but you can apply with our office online beginning October 1, 2013 for a Jan 1, 2014 effective date. Remember, under the exchange there will be no medical underwriting and you will now pay hopefully what you can afford without any pre-existing conditions, waivers or exclusions on your policy.
