I will be directing a new play, with lots of stage fighting (those roles already cast) by Jack McKeane. The character we are casting is John. Non-union. John is a young man, recently in the US Army in Iraq, but who has died by IED. He ends up at the gates of Heaven where he joins two warriors from the distant past, and they debate. The role is somewhat comic, but also dramatic, and suitable from anyone from 20-35. There is bus or subway fare for rehearsals offered, and some pay for performances. We expect to need about 10 hours worth of rehearsal to prepare John for the show, (John shows up about 2/3 of the way through the play) which will be at 13th Street Rep here in NYC.
