This Scorpio New Moon is a rare hybrid Solar Eclipse, both an annular and total eclipse. An annular eclipse is when there’s a ring of fire around the Sun; a total eclipse is when the Moon blocks out all of the Sun’s rays. A solar eclipse disrupts the energy flow between the Sun and Earth and helps establish new energy channels for new possibilities. There was a solar eclipse 19 years ago on November 3, 1994. What did you begin then? How have you found completion since then? What is calling to you now? With a Solar New Moon Eclipse in Scorpio, very close to Saturn, this could be a new beginning for many of us, a flushing out of old emotional patterns, probably from many lifetimes. What kind of emotional openness, along with keen insight into others, do you want to develop in yourself? And how will you develop it? See if it doesn’t feel better to take things slowly. Rather than rushing to move from here to there, and there to here, take your time. When we step into our imaginations, the story of our life changes. What story are you living in? How do you need to change it? Most us of repeat the story we’re living in (‘I don’t have enough money’, ‘I feel like a prisoner’, ‘nobody loves me’, ‘I’m afraid and alone’, ‘my life sucks!’, ‘I never have any luck!’ etc.) making it our reality by reinforcing our beliefs. But we don’t have to choose that story to be in. We are getting similar message from different angles. Be really honest with yourself Proceed responsibly with communication Let go of excess baggage Know the depths of your power Face some of your fears Commit to re/making areas of your life in a way that you know will be more authentic and aligned with who you know yourself to truly be. If we’re resistant to what we know in our heart of hearts is actually necessary change we could find ourselves spinning in tumult. Explosions may seem like they could happen at any moment, if we keep on keeping on turning a blind eye to what is really occurring, denying what we know deep down to be the/our truth. Instead, use the Martian energy available to help catalyze shifts that you want to make, perspectives and habits that truly do nothing than serve as a ball and chain that restricts your independence and ability to be YOU. With this energy we can be empowered to look at old emotional patterns and shed a skin we no longer need. Our fears, our insecurities, our armor. What emerges is fresh and truthful and complete, because we’ve finally looked at our shadows and integrated them into consciousness. Remember, when we work consciously on our Shadow and connect it to our ego-consciousness, we heal and gain access to tremendous amounts of life energy. We can gain a deeper understanding of our real security, love and nurturing needs. This Scorpio Eclipse is likely to be exquisitely powerful, something we’ve all been hearing the whispers of for the last few weeks. To hone in on what seeds it may be planting, what growth it may be encouraging, consider some of these questions: About what do I want to be more honest/forthright, and what’s standing in my way of committing to doing so? What arenas of life do I want to dive into in order to mine the riches that I instinctively know would yield me greater meaning? Where in my life can I turn proverbial lead into proverbial gold? How can I carve out a greater level of intimacy with those for whom I care/adore? There’s great power in this time and great power in our minds. We are opened to bring our intuition, our imagination and our spirituality out into the world. It’s a chance for us to share those visions with like-minded people. Don’t be afraid of intimacy now! Even though clarity may be shrouded around Eclipse time—we know that things are changing, we just don’t yet know how—after the Eclipse a new cycle begins and with that can come hope, joy, and deep reward.
