They just did a documentary on the 9th Infantry, BROTHERS IN WAR, which aired on the National Geographic Channel narrated by actor Charlie Sheen. The other documentary film on the History Channel was narrarted by Gary Sinise. The LEAST that can happen is they transfer your film for FREE, read below, and return the originals to you with a copy of the film on a DVD. PLEASE START TO GATHER YOUR 8mm ROLLS OF FILM, PLEASE! Lou Reda Productions, the documentary production company that recently produced the Vietnam special Brothers in War for the National Geographic Channel and the miniseries Vietnam in HD for the History Channel, is currently developing a new series on the Vietnam War. They are actively looking for home movies shot by US servicemen in Vietnam and at home that can be featured in the series. While they cannot make any promises at this time, their goal is to collect as much footage as possible so they can see what is available and then make a determination about whether or not there is enough to feature our unit in the series. If you have 8mm, super8 or other home movies that you are willing to share with this project, they will clean and transfer your films for FREE and then return them to you along with a DVD copy in exchange for permission to use the films.
