I will be taking the advice from my friend Tony Smith and start to document the stories of some people who migrate to this country. The stories will tell of the experiences and struggles and seek to give advice based on those experiences. In the meantime I will give this one bit of advice to all would-be immigrants: make sure that you have somewhere to stay when you arrive in the United States. Chose your time of arrival so you come here in the spring when the cold has been broken. And in the five intervening months, do your best to find your own place. For it is in the cold months that people begin to show their true character and many will not think twice about throwing you out into the cold. And even when you live in someones house, many will punish you by not providing heat. But not all people are like this and some of us have different experiences... Remember me tell you!
