Cali Residents: Vote NO on Prop 45! although it will be attractively packaged and appeal to your sense of health rate control, you need to know the facts: 1. health rates are already controlled by the California Department of Insurance. Insurance carriers must obtain the DOIs approval prior to releasing rates. 2. Your brothers, sisters, parents, friends, children, etc who all work in the healthcare industry are at risk of losing their jobs. Why? If health rates are not consistent with the cost of living, ALL providers contracted with carriers will be forced, again, to take serious cuts in how they are paid. The trickle down effect is clear: less money to pay employees because the hospitals, doctors and providers get paid by the insurance carriers! 3. You will eventually lose choice of carriers, doctors etc., because the carriers will be unable to afford to stay in Cali - youve seen so many companies leave Cali for these very reasons. 4. You might think, well I just wont have insurance - well, then you get to pay a hefty fine for no insurance. #getinformed #votenoprop45
