I will forever remember where I was thirteen years ago today. I was upstairs at my then in-laws house, having just witnessed the birth of my first daughter, jut hours before. I was awaken from my sleep with phone calls of concern. Tragedy had struck America and I was torn between disbelief and an urge to immediately defend mine against whatever the threat was (a side note, two of the plane hijackers traveled through Portland, Maine to Boston, Mass...I was in Maine at the time). Today, like then, we miss all be prepared to defend what is ours against whomever the threat is...we must be ready to give our lives in order that others are not senselessly killed. I where the uniform proudly and without any reservations...we all must remember and we must all stand united. God bless and may we be ready to answer the call when the time comes...
