I will miss tomorrows graduation ceremony at Kabarak University. I - TopicsExpress

I will miss tomorrows graduation ceremony at Kabarak University. I have to attend and pay my last respect to my Centurion grandmother. She passed on at the age of 100 plus. We are not sure how many years. At least a hundred. A Sister in law to my grandfather. This woman was just the biggest feminine story that will ever be told. It will be here at amkichkaranja tommorow night. Dont miss. So we will lay her to rest tomorrow. I cant witness Mauryn Celyn Mainas graduation. I would have wished to see this great friend of mine take that milestone in life. Iam proud of you Maureen. The kalenjin girl who speaks fluent kikuyu. Luckily she has a Kalenjin name Maina. Wish you well kid sister. Jepkoech Emmaculate and Maritim Francis hope you will be there for this last born. And Sharon Sogomo too. Its been a long wait. We have always wanted song and dance. I am waiting for the homecoming party. I must say something about you on that day. I wish you well and Kapsochon Village gets another graduate. A girl for that matter. A role model. Caroline Jebet Sogomo, hug this girl for all of us. Tolbert Simiyu, are part of this graduating class of 2014? I have never met a generous and white hearted luhya boy like you. You are going far. Very far. And I am proud of you. Not because of the nyamchom and fun times we had but coz of the unique personality in you. You simply a gentleman. Maritim, pat his shoulder for us. And too all you who will graduate. Including President Uhuru Kenyatta who gets an honorary degree in leadership. The principle of continuous improvement should be our all time creed. Congratulations. Because its good to go to school. To, make a change. Schooled people dont argue foolishly. They dont argue against whats unchangeable. Try going to school alone in your village. Your neighbours will give you a hard time. Schooled people dont steal eggs. They dont steal a goat and slaughter in the bush. Education makes you rational. They will not break into your rural house and steal a mattress. Maybe something else. Education allows you to set irreducible minimums. Your ego sets higher targets for you. So dont just take your kids to school. Take everyone if possible. Encourage even your neighbours. So that they dont give you a developmental hard time. Every child must go to school. That way, change is achievable. Goodnight and congratulations!!!!!
