I will never concede that the title challenge is lost until all hope is gone for City but its a near impossibility now. Challenging in four competitions, despite possessing a large, talented squad, seems to be taking its toll now. City have played 13 games more than Liverpool and although they have managed to win the Carling Cup, the Premier League title was always the one that would have been the main target. It is in the league that City have suffered the lost disappointing results and at the most surprising times. Bad form, injuries and individual errors have now cost us dear. Weve under achieved for weeks now and the wind from our sails has gone. The Liverpool defeat and the manner in which we threw things away has affected the teams confidence and belief. That was clear last night. Now the confidence must be all but gone. Somehow, City now need to fight with pride because they owe it to the true fans, not the fickle glory hunting fans that turn their backs on them at the slightest hint or sign of trouble. I hope we win our remaining five games and restore that pride. Then if Liverpool or Chelsea are still crowned Champions despite winning our remaining games at least every true City fan will be able to hold their heads high and congratulate the Premier League winners with no regrets.
