I will never forget the day 9/11/01 around 10:20ish a.m when I literally saw the second tower of the twin towers fall. I literally could not talk, just frozen in disbelief. I stood on the corner of Irvin turner blvd and Springfield ave in Newark and watched the skyline I grew up seeing from school all the way up in Irvington just disappear right in front of my eyes. To see the cloud of dust cover the Hudson River from lower Manhattan to queens Coney Island all the way up to the Bronx, to see military fighter plans circle over for days and months. To see people stranded in NYC that lived in Jersey and other surrounded states, could not leave or enter, to wonder if the US was going to instate the daft again, to live in fear because family members worked in or around the twin towers and pentagon. To only have lights as the only representation of where the towers once stood. To never have gone inside of the towers my whole life. Man the thoughts just continue to be so vivid. God bless those who serve(d) in the military, and those who have been directly effected and infected by this horrific tragedy. #Remembering911
