I will never forget the day when Andre knocked the screen door out at your parents house and I went marching upstairs to yo mama so she go downstairs and raise all hell! But she didnt do it of course. She didnt stress about the petty things. I think that is the biggest lesson I learned from her. Everything doesnt deserve our attention. A lot of stuff she just laughed off. She used always tell us we need to stop talking about folks and gossiping. Well as you see, Im stil a work in progress in that department. And not to forget the time she was dropping me off and two hoodrats were in the streets fighting. She got out of the infamous black van LOL to stop the fight. yeah, she was definitely about the life! Or the time she picked me, Daniel, and Crazyguy Lacy from City Tournament and breaks went out in front of everybody screeching and scratching. Everybody in the car dropped the floor in shame and she like Aint nobody thinking about them. Yall need to be concerned about your safety and how were getting home. Memories on top of memories. She never judged me and gave us all permission to live our truth. More than you know, she plays a big part still to this day in the person I have become, am becoming, and balance I try to achieve with this strong character that can sometimes be overwhelming. I used to walk to school and You know the day she left us, I was running late which allowed me to see her and wave. I believe that was this mysterious energys, that most call Gods, way of letting me say goodbye until the other side.
