I will never forget the sadness i feel in my heart for lady bar. one night in June this year, when i was walking through Soi 7 in Pattaya all alone. Seeing all those ladies on both sides of the street, either dancing or sitting on bar stools outside the bars They worked in to attract customers. some ladies tried to drag new customers into the bars too, even jumping on to the backs of the men that was going by to get them into the bar. The competition between the ladies was hard. everyone was desperate to have a customer. Because there had been little Customers in Pattaya this year. Because of the riot in Bangkok earlier this year when it comes to the corrupted government. And then you also had the curfew later on by the Thai military. The music was loud as usual and there was lights everywhere from the bars. I had been sitting in my usual bar and had a few drinks with my lady bar friends and was now heading back to my hotel to get some sleep. As i was walking through the soi, also known as a side street in thai, with all the bars and the working girls on each side, I started to think about all the things i have learned about the life of a bar lady. I started to think about all the stories this ladies have told me. About their life and children and families back home in the North of Thailand. Namely Isaan, one of the poorest places in Thailand to grow up in. Suddenly 2 bars started to play the song, only girl in the world Made by Rihanna on high volume. I started to cry , i walked with tears down soi 7. I could hardly see the street anymore because my eyes was flowing over with tears. I tried to wipe some of the tears flowing from my eyes so i could see better. Then i was finding my self on the main road named beach road in Pattaya. and winked a bhat bus to stop and drive me home to my hotel.
