I will never get cease to feel that jolt of shock and outrage when another image of a young brother murdered in the streets appears on this screen. I was told that this kids 12-year old brother was also shot and wounded this year in Oakland. Think of the agony that his mother must be in right now. You send your kid to the story for a loaf of bread and he doesnt come back. Brenda Chrisjonesmom Grisham heads the Chris Jones Foundation in honor of her own teenage son who was murdered in 2010. The foundation raises money to purchase grave plots for homicide victims. Right now, theyre out of plots because of our situation here. When are our hip hop artists going to stop glorifying the streets and gang life? Preachers (especially pastors) when will we shake our chains of apathy and rise up to do something to save this young people? When will we care as much about the kids who dying at our own hands, as we do about the young man who tragically lost his life in Ferguson? Please read Sister Brendas comments below.
