I will never look at Thanksgiving as any day in the past where some sort of peace came between two races of people. I will never believe Columbus Day should be an honored Holiday.. Those times were so sad, and left scars that echo through generations.. I do celebrate Thanks giving for what was not destroyed, for those who held on and fought silently to keep their ways alive so that we can have what is left for us today. So that I can give it to my kids and so they can pass it on. I do Celebrate thanksgiving for those people who have been able to go beyond their pain and wounds, and be able to create space to love again. For those who have took me in and seen me as no different than themselves. I am thankful for those who continue to mend and heal, for those who stand up and get loud about things we were once told to be quiet about. For all who make good changes, and most of all for the power of love, and pure innocents, and for the warriors who never give up the fight to preserve and protect it.
