I will not apologise to UNZA students-Kambwili. October 7, 2014 Youth and Sports Minister Chishimba Kambwili has vowed that he will not apologise to University of Zambia students for the statement he issued that it was not government responsibility to pay student bursaries. Kambwili instead said he was misquoted but immediately repeated that it was not government’s responsibility to pay bursaries for ‘all’ students but to create an enabling environment through a loan scheme. ‘ I repeat that providing bursaries is not sustainable, to the contrary, government has the obligation to create an enabling environment through the loan scheme and tell whoever is cheating them (students) that I will not apologise to anybody,’ Kambwli said.
