I will not bore you with the events of my day, but would like to - TopicsExpress

I will not bore you with the events of my day, but would like to share one snap shot that I pray will forever burn its way into my memories (Hopefully writing this down will help this). Raising a 3.5 yr old daughter, who is spirited, passionate, and fiery is never dull or easy. This evening after the girls baths I was picking a few things up in Bristyns room when Taelynn entered. She immediately asked what I was doing and if I would play with her. She grabbed a toy, one of the handheld puzzles with several crooked ledges inside that you are to maneuver various balls around and into place. Well, I have been fighting allergies all week and falling victim to the lovely head cold, headache, pressure and all. At first I was not thrilled that she selected a game requiring such concentration and fine motor skill, but about two minutes into play, watching her eyes locked on the game and how she swayed her entire body ever so slightly trying to will the balls into place, it became so much fun (those little balls are tricky)! After many attempts and much coaching from me (not that I have any successful experiences with this game to pass along) she conquered this game not only once, but twice. As she skipped out of the room in her Santa clause pj top, and pink, silk puppy pants, I see her stop at the top landing, grasp the railing post with her hand and lean back toward me. With her damp ringlets tucked behind her ears, sparkling smile that reveals all of her tiny teeth, she looks straight into my soul with her hazel eyes to leave me with this parting statement: Mom, Ill be your best friend forever. DONT forget! (With her free hand raised and pointing her tiny finger toward me) I love you to the moon and back... AND (with increased emphasis, slight head tilt and raising of her eye brows) infinity! I cannot thank God enough for making me her mother. I am so grateful for these lovely times and the difficult times (like 20 minutes later when she put up quite a stand on pushing bedtime back). Like I said, she is never dull!
