I will not forget the wound to our country and those who inflicted it. I will not yield, I will not rest, I will not relent in waging this struggle for freedom and security for the American people. The course of this conflict is not known, yet its outcome is certain. Freedom and fear, justice and cruelty, have always been at war, and we know that God is not neutral between them. George W. Bush Say what you will about the man. I will probably echo the sentiment. However this is part of the closing of his speech on Sept. 20th 2001. I would suggest that those who have forgotten or have grown complacent in what brought about two wars, that you read the entire speech. Reminds me of a time when this country was together, united, and willing to take on all comers. Where is that resolve now? What shape of resolve is there today in this country to confront evil in this world? Why do we allow for evil to prosper. Obamas lack luster, luke warm, half hearted attempt to lead from behind is stunning to me. Wait for the polls to lead him by the nose so he doesnt have to admit that he was wrong but can now blame the American people for whatever comes after his speech. Saying that the Islamic State isnt Islam might work for the folks that havent been paying that much attention, even Bush said islam was being hijacked by radical islamic militants, wake up. How profound a statement it is to show no spine when its needed the most. Russia is carving up the eastern bloc again, probing our defenses out west. China has been the source of multiple cyber attacks on American businesses. The middle east is in yet another bind, yet this time its our fault because Obama felt he was mandated by the people who elected him to not attempt any status of forces agreement with Iraq upon the withdrawal of troops. Now hes talking out of both sides of his mouth to appease his base and try to seduce others with the idea that no combat troops are being sent into a combat zone, yet another 450 men & women are being sent back into Iraq to help coordinate airstrikes? That looks like both sides of his mouth to me. Tell me this, do you honestly think that those 450 non-combat troops are going there unarmed? Sure they will only maintain a defensive posture, until the status of non-combat troop is changed to adviser. Funny how the PC world changes the names that dont fit well with the agenda. Hug your families tonight there are people out there who keep you safe at night here back in the real world from the people who are still trying to kill you.
