I will post some photos later, but Jonni Bergercaptured it perfectly. A very special evening last night at Finchley Reform Synagogue. It was important and felt timely as with the the support of North London Citizens, FRS hosted an interfaith Iftar for the Somali Bravanese community whose religious home in Muswell Hill was burnt down by racists. It is taking too long for their new home to be built and one can call on Barnet Council to be more generous and speedy. However at this time to see Muslims and Jews sharing prayers and peaceful songs needs to be celebrated. I was also delighted that amongst many political friends to see Sadiq Khan, the Shadow Minister for London in my synagogue. Not every day does Sadiq Khan, Shadow Minister for London, get the chance to be photographed with the celebrated Rabbi of Finchley Reform Synagogue, Rabbi Miriam Berger, mother of Benjamin Omri Berger
