I will probably get some rebuttal for this but consider my point. Dr. Jamal Bryant has and continue to get attacked for using words from a song in a message he shared with his church. A major percentage of the people who attend his church are un-churched and under the age of 40. Whether you believe it or not, this generation is a lot harder to win then the generation that some of you reading this post grew up in. There was a time when the name and fear of Jesus got the peoples attention. Now people rarely reverence and fear the name of Jesus. He used a strategy that caused some to rededicate their lives, get deliverance, etc on that day but theres no mention of that in the media. He sent fifty(50) young people to college, gave away shoes for school, reaches out to the youth in his region daily and much more, but theres no mention of that in the media. The very moment he says something that doesnt sit right with some people, they attack. In this video Pastor Jentezen Franklin uses a strategy that got the peoples attention and got the message across. Im not comparing them because both are phenomenal gifts to the body. Im just saying watch how they embrace and understand his point, although its cutting edge, the people didnt launch an attack like they did with Dr. Bryant. The essence of my post is to suggest that we stop being judge and juror and just pray more. Remember, none of us are perfect and are entitled to Gods grace. I pray that my point is understood and just a friendly fyi, ALL/ANY negative comments will be deleted. Jesus sat with sinners and much more, but only as a tool to draw them. Lets consider the MOTIVE even if the MESSAGE isnt to our pleasing. SELAH.
