I will put this out in the form of a poll Today is PIE DAY. My Daughter Marihelen made 2 pies last night for school today. Right before bed one clearly was a disaster. She begged my wife to make one this morning to bring to school so she was not short her promised pies. I got the following email just a minute ago from my wife who is home taking care of her 94 year old bedridden mother: After taking almost everything out of the cupboard looking for the pumpkin, found it in basement. After looking for pie crust recipe made with milk (not 1/2 and 1/2) & oil, measuring flour & milk, discovered we were short oil. After looking for a pie crust recipe that used only butter, putting it in the Cuisinart and discovering it was neither big enough nor strong enough to mix the dough. After moving the pie crust mixture to the Ninja mixer and successfully mixing the dough. After making the pumpkin pie filling, knowing one can was not going to fill the pie crust. After looking for a recipe to turn evaporated milk into condensed milk, so I could use the other can of pumpkin to make more pie filling. After rolling out the dough, putting it in the pie pan, pouring the filling in and waiting over an hour for it to bake - because it is a deep dish pie, MH texts me, You dont need to bring the pie Poll question is should I tell my daughter not to come home from school today so she may live to see another day?
