I will re-define the exact wording/terminology terrorism: is commonly defined as violent acts (or coercion of violence) intended to create fear (terror), to perpetrate for a religious, political or ideological goal, and to deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants. Also, the word terrorism derived off of the French word terrorisme and originally referred specifically to state terrorism as practice by the French government during the 1793-1794 Reign of Terror in the French Revolution. Studies have indicated that a larger percentage of lone-wolf terrorists are found to be psychology-unstable or mentally-ill when equated with group oriented terrorists or the general populace. Mental Illness and violence are two very separate characteristics in people, neither of which is sufficient to define or predict the other. Dr. Spaaij, Gill and Corner determined that theres no single profile or lone-wolf terrorist, but as a group, they have numerous characteristics, such as mental illness. Dr. Spaaij found high levels of personality disorders and depression amongst a group of 88 lone-wolf terrorists in 15 nations globally. Across three studies examined, on can conclude that many lone-wolf terrorists have small or all of the following characteristics: mental illness, vocational issues, high-stress levels, problems with intimate partner relationships, social awkwardness, violent communications and ironically high-intelligence, etc.!
