I will readily support an increase in minimum wage that is incremental and takes small jumps over a specified period of time but to jump it by 2-3 dollars at once would have a catastrophic effect on small businesses and in the long run harms everyones standard of living even those receiving the raise. .....just think how it effects your budget when gas takes a 50 cent jump......now imagine the cost of all goods jumping like that. No way around it. Raise in minimum wage causes the price of everything to go up.
