I will share with the world the first time I heard this man sing. I was a student at Westminster Choir College, working their over the summer, and (as some of my fellow alums will remember) each week (seemingly....) there would be a Summer Sing. A fairly informal (but not *unprepared*) sing-through of a well-known choral work. The work on the docket this day was the Mozart Requiem. The bass soloist (Glenn Miller) sings the famous Tuba Mirum, and after a few phrases, there is a cadence in F minor. At that point the tenor soloist enters on a high F, while the bass soloist descends to a low F, two octaves lower. No one EVER hears this final note of the bass soloist.... At this performance, none of us could hear the first entrance of the tenor! For more of Glenn, heres another VERY impressive performance! https://youtube/watch?v=eo_lUP_Jdt0
