I will sing the praises of any company or product or person that I like and I typically just stay quiet if I do not like something. So this is an unusual post from me but here it goes… I used care to hire a nanny for my boys. Let’s go back…it’s January 2014, you just found out that your current nanny is leaving you (and has been interviewing on the phone while “watching” your children), you are a CPA and busy tax season is upon you, you are a health coach, a caregiver, a wife, a volunteer, a Christian, a friend, a mentor, a business owner, an athlete and a mom to two amazing but very dependent autistic twin 5 year olds who are not toilet trained, are non-verbal and are struggling with all of the other changes that have been happening in their lives (school/therapy) and you struggle managing your own auto-immune disease. Needless to say, you burn the candle at both ends, struggle to meet daily demands and are going through an EXTREMELY stressful time in life, all the while, just trying to stay afloat and prevent all of the balls that you are juggling in the air from falling down on you all at once. You sign up for a 30 day membership for $39. You hire your nanny. Crazy busy life goes on…now it is August 2014 and you notice a charge on your credit card for $39. Need I say more?…I go back, as now I have some sanity about me and time since I quit my stressful job in July…and I notice I have been being charged $39 every month for a service I only used once. I nicely call and ask if there is something they can do to refund me my $273 of unused services. As they can see, I have had zero activity on the account since that first month. I begged and pleaded and asked so nicely…“there must be something you can do to waive these fees”. I was told and then confirmed in an email quote, “Care subscriptions are nonrefundable, and there are no refunds or credits for partially unused periods.” I have worked in customer service. I am a returning customer (this was not a problem the first time) to care but I vow to NEVER use their services again. Their name should be THEYDON’TCARE.COM. I am encouraging all of my friends to NEVER use this company. Companies with those fine print policies that then say “THEY CANNOT WAIVE FEES”…seriously??? They can do whatever they want to retain repeat customers or referrals. But they have chosen to waive only one month of my 7 months of fees that were charged where I obtained absolutely no benefit from paying. THEYDON’TCARE.COM about my situation. THEYDON’TCARE.COM about what that money could do for my family. THEYDON’TCARE.COM or understand what it is like to be a busy mom, trying to stay afloat or they would revise their policies and know that if someone thinks they are only signing up for something for 30 days and clearly does not use their account for the duration after those initial 30 days, and receives no future benefit, that it was an honest mistake. THEYDON’TCARE.COM and they just want your money and that’s why they have policies like this. Before using this company, please remember that THEYDON’TCARE!! Oh wait, after they told me that they absolutely would not waive the rest of my fees, they sent me another email to ask me to rate my experience with them. THEYSERIOUSLYDON’TCARE.COM
