I will start by saying I normally never purchase parts via ebay. Everyone knows the horror stories of all the junk and counterfeit stuff that is sold via ebay on a regular basis. Though this week I was in need of a new TiAL Q BOV and happened to check there to see what the used market pricing was. I found one listed as new, with pictures of an authentic BOV in the listing from dippedcars ebay store or dipped cars on facebook. Which to my surprise was local to me here in Chicago, and had a 100% positive review rate. In light of your proximity to me and the good ebay feedback I trusted their ad and went ahead with the purchase. Fast forward to yesterday when I receive the item. Immediately upon unboxing things look amiss. The laser engraving on the cap is not lined up properly and also the incorrect sizes. The packaging inside the box itself does not match the plethora of online pictures showing people opening new legitimate TiAL products. Now that I was extremely suspicious I contacted TiAL directly this morning and forwarded them some pictures of the device who then confirmed to me it was a counterfeit. I filed a case with ebay to refund my money and have the product destroyed according to ebays counterfeit items policy. they offered me a full refund to send it back. I agreed on the conditions my refund would be issued immediately upon notice of shipment tonight, and that it would include my cost to return the counterfeit item to you. they immediately agreed and I held up my end of the bargain shipping the item back to you and giving you the tracking info. Then they refused to respond or issue my refund as agreed upon after they tried to swindle me with a fake product. I was cordial and level headed through the entire process. Though now that they have chosen to continue to not act as agreed upon I have responded to TiALs inquiry asking for their business address which I provided at Dipped Cars 1151 N.
