I will suggest this, right now there are enough people signed up on my email database that if each one of them signed up 20 people on a petition to get rid of the board, we would have enough signatures to do just that fire the entire board and start from new. If that were to occur and we were able to place a temporary board into action, I would hope the first thing that would occur would be that the new board vote in a term limit on how long a person could serve on the board...three years...and that they could not run for a board seat again for ten years after serving. This would stop this never ending...thirty and forty year good ole boys thing with CEC. The next thing would be to have an audit performed of the entire operating and investment activity of CEC and then re-evaluate the pay grades of Matlock and other highly paid folks....after all...this is suppose to be a not for profit company...those kind of salaries and bonuses are generally seen in large, for profit companies. CEC is suppose to run very close to the bone to give its customers the best service and rates possible...not to provide million dollar gift packages, million dollar stock market investments, etc. Just thinking out loud here. But such a petition could actually start today if the members wanted to really get active!
