I wish I could give a more positive update about Marit but we are still in the hospital. We appreciate all the prayers and concern and help given to us to help us get through this stay. Currently we are expecting to be in the hospital until early next week unless her condition rapidly improves. She is currently stable but very uncomfortable and still very sick. We continue to have many set backs we feel that are largely related to her CHARGE diagnosis. Please continue to pray for Marit to give her strength and the ability to get better soon. For Miranda Nerland and Jan Wilemon who are operating on almost no sleep and for our family as this has been a very trying time. We knew early on that when Marit was born she had many special needs however it is still very discouraging for us to process that a common childhood illness can be so very dangerous to her and her time in the hospital could put her life in danger. Sadly because of this we will be having to change a lot of what we do and where we can go to protect her. Thank you again for all your care and concern for my family.
