I wish a open-minded perceptive Veterans Day to all. These War holidays come on us a few times a year. Memorial Day.. July 4th.. Veterans Day.. And others. War.. A malevolent act disguised as a heroic contribution to protect. Protect what? A few hundred thousand square miles on a rock floating amongst billions of other rocks flourishing with life? I am in no means disrespecting my friends and family that chose and/or were forced into militant action.. I am simply thinking with an open mind.. And that, in my opinion, is The most powerful weapon known to mankind. People walk through life day to day burdened with dogma disguised as answers. Sleeping peacefully in their 9-5 jobs or 12-12 jobs or 1-2 jobs grasping for all they can to get and provide for them and theirs. Walking blindly with tunneled vision a primitive The sun comes up,-It goes down. We eat, drink, laugh, cry, check out the Internet, hug our loved ones-thats all mentality. A global awakening needs to happen. And is happening. Slowly but surely. Skeptics and, as I call them, puppets can say, Aww.. Thats hippy bullshit. ..or.. Youre crazy... and thats fine. But theres a broader horizon awaiting. Good conquers evil in time. Thats my dogma. Thats my belief. I may be wrong, I may be right.. but I say no to war. And no.. Ive never served to protect the masses. I cant even pick up a gun and shoot a squirrel much less a human.. even in self defense, I could not. Thats the hand I was delt. Id rather not answer to that. Im just a singer of song. I wonder about performing music in hope a benevolent outcome. So I know nothing of walking behind enemy lines. I just know that theres more. Theres a brighter horizon.
