I wish every American could sit down and watch the amazing speech that Elizabeth Warren gave yesterday morning in Washington, DC. With momentum building to draft Sen. Warren to run for president, her speech is blowing up in the media. As Emily Schultheis wrote in National Journal, it wasnt just about what she said -- it was where and when she said it. As the keynote speaker at the AFL-CIOs Raising Wages summit -- a major labor event setting the stage for 2015 -- Elizabeth Warren was on fire: •She ripped the magical accounting of trickle-down economics limb from limb. •She called out corporations and big banks for their indiscriminate greed. •And, perhaps most importantly, she boldly exposed the choices made by both Republicans and Democrats over the last 30 years that have systematically undermined hard-working American families while enriching the top 10%. If we are going to solve the problem of income inequality, we need to elect new leaders who will make new and better choices. Leaders who will remember that they work for us, not for Wall Street. We need leaders like Elizabeth Warren.
