I wish our black men would stand up and take their rightful place. So sick of broke down, trifling men with no income, no ambition, no attainable goals wooing women and hooking up with them so they can have a place to stay, a vehicle to drive, fringe benefits. Sick of it. I know that the job market is dismal, but cant they go out there and do SOMETHING to self sustain themselves? I know 3 women who were single.. working.. making their own money.. but their need to have a man at ANY cost has now cost them their own good job, their self esteem and their independence. Do you know how many times I have been approached? Here are the lines.. you cook good, you keep a clean house, you a church going woman, you know how to be a wife.. I better hook up with you quick.... I hear that so many times its like broken record. Aint interested. I know another young lady who was single for years. Thought she would never hook up with anybody. This guy was a thug, lived in a halfway house, had a crazy x-wife, didnt work, had no goals or ambition.. but was just looking for somewhere to stay. He convinced this girl that he was always in love with her and wanted to marry her. This guy was scheduled to released from the halfway house and had no where to go. He convinced this poor girl and she flew him to her location, moved him immediately into her house, PAID FOR THE ENTIRE wedding and is now fronting that he is her knight in shining armor. Please she dont even know the story. I could never understand how a woman would sell her entire soul just about JUST to have legs under her kitchen table. I challenged a woman one day to live by herself. I told her instead of having a regular front door, she should invest in a revolving door because that is how many men came in and out. Ladies and gentlemen.. please learn how to stand on your OWN two feet. Dont rely upon another individual to take care of you. If the time comes and you know its right, THEN you can pool resources. But looking for a saving from a man or woman is a cop out.
