I wish that you would all stop bickering, this FB page was created for one reason, to gather support for the re-installation of the Whitby branch line from the existing Scarborough line at the location of the Rillington Station to Pickering via Marishes Road. Yes there were going to be obstacles, as would be the case for any resurrection. For all those who would wish for an alternative route please start your own FB page. It should be obvious that the originators of this page have and continued to have the interest of existing transport routes in hand together with consideration of the difficulties faced for the reconstruction. This is obvious from the recent meeting with the main player. The whys and wherefores for alternative routes should be taken up also with a separate FB page. Here there is a need to concentrate on how the re-installation may be achieved. Whether the end result is what was envisaged is another matter, we all have had our disappointments in life. I for one give my unqualified support for the originators proposal.
