I wish this is true, i pray there wont be any more market, maybe this will kill the quest for OIl Money, power at the center and get us to start being innovative and think deep. Oil has brought much more pain than joy to us. Nigeria should start focusing on what maintained us before now, Agriculture, minerals, Cocoa, Coal, Hides and Skin, Groundnut, timber, Palm Oil etc. We have to go back to the roots. We are highly endowed, we have to tap them. Its time Government put the same effort into these areas and make them viable with huge incentives for investors and participants, the same attention they give to Oil should be extended, if not much more, to these areas. Ghana produces Oil now, Angola, Kenya etc and they will keep finding more. The market is shrinking, Asia are charting a new alliance with Russia and Middle East, Nigeria may soon realise it late. United States of America (USA) has finally stopped importation of crude oil from Nigeria, this is sequel to the discovery of Shale oil and gas in commercial quantity. Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, minister of Petroleum Resources, , who disclosed this in Abuja Wednesday, was quick to add that Nigeria has begun search for alternative markets.
