I wish to say goodbye to an old friend, and brother of my Wayne Fire Co#5 family. Mr Gerard Jerry Porter, an Honorary Member of Packanack Lake Fire Co#5, and one of our strongest supporters. He was always a pleasure and a riot to chat with. Most of all his mannerisms, and words when he saw one of us outside of the Fire Department, whether in the store, the occasional ER visit, around town, always made you aware he had the highest respect for each of us. He himself held many many years as a dedicated public servant in Waynes political arena, and was always a very strong supporter of all of Wayne Townships Emergency Workers. My heart and prayers go out to Mr. Porters son, my Fellow Brother, and beloved friend Tim, as they also go out to the rest of the Porter family. God Speed Mr Porter, you will truly be missed.
