I wish to very succinctly address the topic of false hope by pointing to a blog update regarding the global currency reset (GCR) that has been a hot topic in alternative media for many years. I do not make the case that the person disseminating this information (John Machaffie) is a disinformation agent; I have no evidence to prove that. Nor do I wish to make the case that he is a huckster or charlatan who regularly refuels peoples hopes with the intention of drawing financial support from his audience; I cant prove that either. Therefore I only bring this example up as a sort of metaphor for some improvements that I wish to see in the alternative media as it relates to the dispensing of hope, specifically related to the writing style many of these alleged insiders consistently use to inform their viewership. All too often the information that is passed along by these informants is phrased in such a way as if to assure, or almost guarantee, that an event of some sort is going to occur within a given time frame or on a specific date. Assuming that these insiders are indeed honestly doing their best to pass along information that is being shared with them by their own contacts, then we must also assume the possibility that their contacts are either not credible, misinformed, or disinformation agents. Because the possibility exists that the information being passed is false, these public personas then have a very huge responsibility of making sure that when they communicate their information to viewers, that it is done responsibly and professionally, otherwise objections can be brought up that it is just another form of entertainment, much like mainstream media. One final objection I want to share specifically regarding Mr. Machaffies recent revelations is the potential query he makes of his audience in the form of donations. While it is perfectly acceptable for someone to request donations, it does make one wonder: If the financial reset is bound to happen within a week or two and Mr. Machaffie is so sure about this (as his writing style boldly implies), then is it reasonable to wonder why he would also make the following request: $250 now needed for final quarter of August. Your Donation Support For John’s Family Survival Is NOW REQUIRED! Blog may be coming down due to lack of financial support. Notice that the words survival and required are both used, and both indicative of a sense of financial urgency. The way in which this request for donations is phrased is directly opposed to the main theme of his blog update, namely, that NESARA (or GESARA) [is] TO BE OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED WORLDWIDE ON 9/9/14. DISBURSEMENTS TO THE PEOPLE WILL START SEVERAL DAYS AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT. I hope that he is correct. I hope that everything I have written above is irrelevant. I hope that we can all breathe for a change, as a new freedom and paradigm surrounds us and manifests in a way that is palpable even to those who are deep in hibernation as regards the truth. Unfortunately, though, I believe that September 9th will come and go, as have many dates before it, and that the assurances and bold statements made by Mr. Machaffie will be forgotten by his viewers, at least until the next date is proposed. nesaranews.blogspot/
