I wish to wish all the Zambians a Happy Golden Jubilee. Were celebrating the leadership by our own fellow Zambians and not that of foreigners, colonialists. The independence is for self leadership and not development. If you think independence is for levels of development then you will honestly have a few reasons to join the rest of Zambians in celebrations. Ask Nigerians, if independence means development. Boko Haram has been breaking their infrastructure, burning markets and churches.... Yet they still found a reason to celebrate independence this very month. Ask Libyans, Sudanese, those from Israel, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Russia, Syria, Kenya, Congo DR and many other countries where theyre fighting. Theyre are independent but have no peace. Their countries are developed, probably more developed than Zambia but they still destroy their own properties, infrastructure and roads just in order to secure peace in their nation. At the end of the day as a Zambian you do not have to look at the levels of development, how the Zambian currency is performing for you to celebrate independence. It is about the Zambian peaceful leadership that we have had for 50 years since the Britons kissed good bye to ruling US. What is development without peace anyway? the inverse is not true. #HappyBirthdayMotherZambia
