I wished I had great wonderful memories of my father. I do not. He - TopicsExpress

I wished I had great wonderful memories of my father. I do not. He was a man of great ambition and petty action. Great needs and meager gifts. He was who he was. I hope he is resting in peace because he seemed to have never found whatever it was he was seeking. We cannot change the past and sometimes forgiveness seems meaningless. But Harvey Lee Jones did introduce me to Black pop singers: Dinah Washington, Brook Benton, Arthur Prysock, Johnny Mathis and jazz musicians like Cannonball Adderly. He tried to encourage my school work. I think in his own way he was proud of me. I will never know. I have great compassion for the many of us who have fathers who could not love, could not support, could not care.
