I woke today with this beautiful hymn in my mind. Many of you - TopicsExpress

I woke today with this beautiful hymn in my mind. Many of you will know it; it is based on a traditional prayer attributed (erroneously) to St. Francis of Assisi. This is written by a South African Franciscan named Johann Sebastian von Tempelhoff (1928-1997). Thanks to him, as we are still moved and inspired today by its beauty. The busier your day is, the more Id say, take a couple of minutes to rest in this peace.... Make me a channel of your peace Where there is hatred let me bring your love Where there is injury, your pardon, Lord And where theres doubt, true faith in you Oh, Master grant that I may never seek So much to be consoled as to console To be understood as to understand To be loved as to love with all my soul Make me a channel of your peace Where theres despair in life, let me bring hope Where there is darkness, only light And where theres sadness, ever joy Make me a channel of your peace It is in pardoning that we are pardoned In giving to all men that we receive And in dying that were born to eternal life. Wishing all a day filled with peace, x
