I woke up from my nightmare right into a dream, where everything was better yet not as perfect as it seemed. There was something clearly missing I couldnt put my finger on, it didnt register for a moment that a piece of me was gone. I went about my day doing all the usual things - my mind still trying to protect me from the pain it always brings. Pictures smiling down at me a door thats always closed - everything was quiet before I felt the cold creep through my bones. My fingers traced your drawings placed upon the fridge, my eyes saw only you doing family things. It hit me all at once as I crumpled to my knees, everything was wrong theres not a minutes peace. My mind cant keep the pain from me or free me from this place - yet nowhere else but here can I always see your face. I fell into a nightmare, it started as a dream....
