I woke up this morning, grumpy about stupid junk in the book - TopicsExpress

I woke up this morning, grumpy about stupid junk in the book world, irritated because my kids dont know how to turn off lights, complaining because we go through so much milk, and then I saw this post from my friend Jenni Hensley McQuiston. For those who dont know Jenni, shes not just a historical romance writer. Shes also a brilliant scientist who works for the CDC here in Atlanta. Seeing her post reminded me of how much I take for granted. I expect things will always be okay because I live in a (mostly) safe, cushioned society where my needs are met, and I have every luxury at my disposal. Not everyone has what I have. In fact, MOST people dont. Ebola is a scary, scary thing, and Jenni is putting her life on the line to help people she doesnt even know. Please take a moment today to give a quick thanks--silent or otherwise--to real life heroes in the field like Jenni. And if youd like to support her in a more concrete way, please check out her books and consider picking up one of her historical romances: bit.ly/JMcQuiston. Thank you, Jenni for the sacrifice youre making!
