I woke up to a startling revelation this morning! I finally grasped a deeper understanding of the non violence movement of Dr. Martin Luther King and Ghandi. The non violence spoke louder than any words could have, because the choice of non violence illuminated and therefore heightened the atrocities that were being committed within their communities. This illumination created an undeniable effect of change. (Maybe it is peace that has the deeper communication with the spirit of humanity that resides in us all). What if we cleaned up the violence in our own homes, in our own streets? Would that choice then illuminate and heighten the brutality of the atrocities that others commit upon us in our own communities, penetrating the humanity within the heart of the world to move...to create change...as Martin and Ghandi did before us? I dont know. I do see clearly this morning that Martin and Ghandi understood that they had to strengthen and change within in order to have a CHANCE to change that which was without… J
