I wonder if U of M Professor David Vang would look at it differently if an illegal protest cost him a percentage of his salary, or took away his bonus for the year? For him to say the protesters are being very courteous by announcing their intentions ahead of time, will likely keep shoppers away and reduce profits, is shortsighted to shop owners need to show a profit. This illegal protest will cost shop owners money due to shoppers staying away from their stores. The mall gave them legal options to hold their protest but these were rejected in order to win free publicity.
