I wonder if, as the classic car show grows that there might be invites eventually sent out to our American Neighbors in the future. Make it a few days long event with different divisions for prizes even. Best funny car, best in show, best original parts car, best modifications car, and oldest car, etc. Even a prize for the car that came from the farthest away ! There could be live entertainment in Alma Square, There could be food vendors, beer tents, merchandise tents that sell event t-shirts to raise money for some of the event costs. Most of all, I think it is important to recognize the fine folks who voluntarily bring their beautiful classic cars to this event either by discounts at hotels or deals in restaurants. After all, they are the ones that cause the gathering of the masses. Hey, maybe even use some of that empty pavement up at the airport and try to organize a drag race event too. Include the Lake Doucette Motor Speedway folks to have races and maybe even show their cars in a parade as well...... just random thoughts this morning....
