I wonder what youre seeing when youre lost inside of dreams That void to where only you can go Im curious if youve seen me there Because dreams are lost to me these days No secret worlds or visions Nothing to keep me out all night Nightmares would be appreciated Because I need a reason for losing sleep It used to be like art to me A masterpiece on the canvas behind my eyes And now everything is blank Thoughts pollute the once fresh design Perhaps my old dreams had spoiled it rotten Id forgotten the serenity And kept all of my dreams for myself Inside the depths of pleasure The air was rank with deceit Like a treasure to a filthy king The court has stolen my crown And someone has stolen my dreams I only wish them back so I can feel whole Ill even settle for sharing
