I wonder why I see artists, photographers, actors and models constantly getting into other peoples business and tearing each other down? It seems there is always someone to remind you what you havent done no matter how far you have come. You book a casting and someone reminds you it isnt for a very big production. You book a big production and someone reminds you that you only got a small part. You get a big part and someone reminds you that its a lower budget production. You get in a magazine and someone reminds you that its only a digital magazine. You get into a national print magazine and someone reminds you that you didnt get the cover. You get the cover and someone reminds you it isnt one of the top 4 magazines. You shoot some headshots and someone reminds you that you didnt shoot agency models. You shoot agency models and someone reminds you that those are not models from a big agency . You shoot big agency models and someone reminds you those models are so last season. Can I be honest? You are exhausting. Yes, you. The person who is reading this who likes to remind everyone how they arent there yet. You have lost your way. We are all on a journey marked by our own personal goals and measured by our own drive to meet those goals. Stop sizing everyone up based on your own journey. Let people be and check your issues at the door. I dare you to stop validating your own accomplishments by reminding others of their shortcomings.
