I work 100 hours a week. I provide jobs, pay tax, business rates, and havent had 3 days off in a row since April 2013, much to Erika Berrymans pain. I went to Fowey this morning and parked in the layby opposite Sams (loading bay) and unloaded the car and went in The Bistro, answered the phone while I was there and took in the fruit and veg delivery. As you can see from the parking ticket I got this took 6 minutes. I could have legally parked in the road for 30 minutes and blocked everyone else as my binman did to me last week to my inconvenience and rage. But I parked in the layby out the way and let the traffic through. Yet the humourless Civil Enforcement Officer (give someone the title Enforcement and they are on an instant power trip anyway) said it was a crime and slapped a ticket on me. Never kind the fact I am a local providing locals jobs in the winter and throughout he year and a local business using local businesses to ensure the whole local economy benefits. Never mind the fact I parked out the way to allow other business people to make money. No of that matters to him. As long as he can puff his chest out and feel better about himself whats £30 to me. Ill tell you. Its some 16 year olds wages for a day! Its food on my table. Its petrol in my car so I can go to these places and work. And you have stolen it from me without any care or consideration and an arrogance and ignorance beyond comprehension. I will appeal this ticket and I bloody well better get off because otherwise no one with a business in Foweys Main Street has a hope of getting anything delivered or servicing their businesses unless they block the roads and show the same amount of ignorance and arrogance that the humourless twat who slapped a ticket on me has shown today. You have ruined my day Mr CEO and one day I will ruin yours.
