I worked at Brennons school today with the special ed class and I had only worked with them once before, sometime last year. All the kids remembered me and I remembered them. (which is huge, with my memory). The initial teacher called me over and said: Have you worked her before? I said: Yes, sometime last year. I just love these kids. She said: Why dont I remember you? (Well, how am I supposed to know why she doesnt remember me? Really!!) I said: Well it has been a while. But I am glad the kids remember me. She actually called the office to see if I had ever been there before. When they told her yes, she said: Oh, that makes me feel better. I wasnt sure why she knew all the kids and they knew her and it made me uneasy. Thank you. (ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME???) You have to have a background check before you can work for the schools. Then I went to the second class and they do have a new teacher, she started this year. So when she asked me how I knew the kids and they knew me, I understood. But then the aides all started to ask me the same thing about how we all knew each other. I understand somewhat that they would be concerned, but really????? I am an aide, the school called me in to work. So annoyed. But on a happy note, all the kids love me and were so happy to see me again.
