I worked for a nonprofit company in Hartford. I was fired approximately 2 weeks before Christmas (such timing.) I worked and I worked! I had a constant increase in volume of work. I got through the days with perseverance, organization and ethics (if you work at it you can get good at it.) Stuff was taken while I was there. I was told in not these exact words that I needed to be monitored when seeking office supplies. Even the main door did not always open. I got told I prevented other workers from gaining access in. My car got blocked twice so I could not leave the parking lot. A fellow worker did groping motions in front of me and said in a meeting he wanted to kill me. He was upset with me for lots of things such as telling him that I did not like coming in Monday morning and finding windows open and the heat set too high. That are records need to correspond and when he issued a check that was not legal I would not be seeking reimbursement from the State. Another employee said she found the noise I made walking in the hall distracting (I do have leg and feet issues no one ever brought it up before.) This same person let me know she had no problem sitting still and looking at a wall for 8 hours. She did say she wanted more money. I estimate her title was at least $3.+ more than mine hourly. Most were upset when I said I wanted my medical benefits that I was paying for. I did not like going to the dentist with a broken tooth and being told I do not have insurance. I did not like being told I was at fault for the cleaning lady leaving because only 1 of the 2 of us would be getting medical insurance. I worked the hours, I was entitled to the benefit. I guess I found a usage for the Internet I can write in it like a public sounding board. I did have another job that unemployment pretty much got for me. It got real bad before I got fired the 1st day back after New Years. I complained to the State of Connecticut that the boss put his hands on my buttocks inappropriately. That this boss had discussed twice about how I need to whip him. The State people yelled at him while I was in a waiting room. I was told to get document for the State so that I could receive my unemployment benefits from a retailer. The State told me the retailer did not want to give me my benefits. I go with God!
